3. Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
(1-Day Workshop)

About the Program:

This course will provide the participant the information required to complete the parts submission form for the automotive O.E.M.’s. As a part of this activity the participant will review the PPAP manual in detail and then develop an individual check list to assure that his activity properly supports the process.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will have a detailed understanding of the generic requirements for PPAP.
• Participants will have an understanding of Chrysler, Ford, General Motors specific instructions.
• Participants will have learned to develop a checklist to use for PPAP activities.
• Participants will understand the scope of the PPAP.
• Participants will know when to submit the part submission warrant.
• Participants will know which of the 14 requirements needs to be included in the submittal.
• Participants will be instructed on the handling of master samples.
• Participants will know when to ask the O.E.M. supplier representative for advise, approval, or waivers.
• Participants will have reviewed the specific instructions of the O.E.M.’s and understand their specific interests.
